Goals

Our group goals are to foster a supportive and collaborative environment where writers can refine their manuscripts, share constructive feedback, and grow their craft. We look for mutual respect and encouragement, helping each member develop their unique voice while gaining valuable insights. By working together, we strive to strengthen storytelling skills, navigate challenges, and celebrate progress in our creative journeys.

Admissions Policies

Participation in a picture book pop-up is open to active members of Inked Voices. This pop-up will operate on a first-come, first-served basis with open sign-ups. Participants must submit a manuscript within the word count limit (typically 500-1,000 words for picture books) by the designated deadline. All participants are expected to actively engage by providing thoughtful and constructive critiques for their peers. Participants should be available to complete their critiques during the pop-up period (usually 2 weeks). All members must maintain a respectful and supportive tone when giving and receiving feedback.

What we're looking for in members

We are looking for members who are passionate about writing and eager to grow in their craft. Ideal participants are committed to giving and receiving constructive feedback, open to collaboration, and respectful in their interactions. We value a positive, supportive attitude and a willingness to engage in the critique process actively.
